George Haité

When we look at new designs, we always go back. For this collection, we decided to go back further than we’ve been before, to Victorian era England! We have selected our favourite paisley designs from one of the most important pattern designers of the Victorian era, George Haité.

George Haité is considered the forefather of the modern paisley design as we know it. Each George Haité design was originally, painstakingly hand-drawn and coloured between 1850-1870. We have then brought these 160 year old designs into the modern era, keeping the ink scratches and all!

These all provided a backdrop and inspiration to the 1960’s and 70’s paisley re-emergence, which you know we love!
